What we handle after-hours

A pharmacist on duty until 8pm means you can sort most everyday health concerns without booking a GP or sitting in an emergency department for hours.

• Late scripts & repeats

  Drop in or send your script ahead - we'll have it ready before close. Lost a script after-hours? In many cases the pharmacist can issue an emergency supply.

• Vaccinations after work

  Flu, COVID-19, travel and routine vaccines in our private consult room - including evening slots. No GP referral needed.

• Minor ailments & advice

  Coughs, sore throats, UTIs, skin rashes, hayfever, kids' fevers - our pharmacists triage and treat under the NSW expanded-scope scheme where appropriate.

• Webster-paks & NDIS

  Carer or NDIS participant doing pick-ups around shifts? We pack and dispense outside business hours so medication management fits your week.

When to skip the pharmacy and call 000

We can handle a lot, but not everything. Phone 000 or head to Cessnock District Hospital's emergency department for chest pain, breathing difficulty, severe bleeding, suspected stroke, head injury, severe allergic reactions or anything you'd describe as "I'm scared." For non-urgent overnight advice when we're closed, healthdirect (1800 022 222) has registered nurses on the line 24/7.

Tips for an easier after-hours visit

1. Send your script first. Email or upload it so the dispensary can start before you arrive.
2. Bring your Medicare and concession cards. It speeds up pricing and PBS eligibility.
3. Know your regular meds. A photo of the box or a MedAdvisor list helps us check interactions in seconds.
4. Call ahead for vaccinations. Walk-ins are welcome, but booking a slot means no waiting.
